What Is an Uncontested Divorce?
An uncontested divorce (also called an amicable or no-contest divorce) is when both spouses agree on all the terms of the divorce.
Because there are no disputes for the court to resolve, this type of divorce avoids costly court battles and allows for a faster, less stressful process. An uncontested divorce can also be filed without hiring an attorney.
Our service fee does not include the court's filing fee, commonly called the 'court fee,' which can vary by state and county. You pay the court filing fee directly to the court when the divorce is filed.
If you have a very low income and qualify for a waiver, you may avoid having to pay court fees.
